BEST HIKE ON THE NORTH ISLAND, NEW ZEALAND

Let me start this out by saying this is NOT an easy hike... I laugh just thinking about it. Emily of course had no problem while I was trailing a constant 20 feet behind panting like I was about to topple over and die. Dramatic? Maybe! Did I complain the entire way up? For sure! But at the end of the day, I’m glad we did it.

Mt. Maunganui (say that 10 times fast) in New Zealand has one of the coolest views I’ve ever laid eyes on. The bluest waters, the coolest viewpoint (overlooking the cutest little beach town) and a great workout if you manage to get to the top. If you visit the North Island you have to rent a car to make the drive here- you won’t regret it!
