MAUI, HI
We've gone back to Maui once a year since our first visit, there's truly no other island like it! This year we tried goat yoga which was one of our favorite (and funniest) activities yet.
A must when visiting Maui is renting a car to drive the Road to Hana. We didn't drive the entire road considering it's so long but we did make it about halfway which was far enough to check out some scenic stops and waterfalls.
Another "must" is getting Ululani's shave ice. It's much different than what you'd get in the states! They actually recommend you put ice cream on the bottom which was surprisingly a great mix.
This time around we stopped at Iao state park which looked like a scene out of Jurassic Park, it was an easy little hike to get to this look out spot!
There are so many awesome restaurants to check out on the island, we stayed in Kihei again which is our personal favorite. We loved Nalu's for lunch, Maui Brewing Co. for drinks, Monkey Pod Kitchen for dinner and happy hour at Three's! We also tried musubi which is something the locals love.
Last but not least-- no trip to Maui is complete without a beach day (or three), thankfully we had a great host to take us around to all the best spots. Big Beach is one of the most popular but we had a great time at Sugar Beach this day which was much less crowded!
